I'm Shaun, a travelling private chef for hire in Cumbria

I cover much of Cumbria – particularly the South (Kirkby Lonsdale, Kendal, Morecambe Bay and Windermere) and West (the Western Lakes, up towards Penrith, the North Pennines and Western Yorkshire Dales), but it’s also a pleasure heading towards the Cumbrian coast. When I’m not in the kitchen you’ll often find me fell walking or kayaking – this part of the world was my playground as a child – and is familiar territory as a local private chef.

Shaun came in and cooked for a 50th birthday party where one of the party was gluten free and dairy free. We had a beautiful 3 course meal, flavours were delicious and all ingredients were top quality. Shaun was great with all the organisation... he is friendly, diligently works in the background and left a very tidy kitchen. Would highly recommend.

How much does it cost?

A meal cooked fresh at your property is typically from £45 to £60 per person for a two or three course meal (which includes the cooking, serving, cleaning up and to cover ingredients).

A £100 deposit books and secures the date. Half of the remainder is due a fortnight before the meal, with the balance payable on the night, either when I arrive or after the meal.
