View from the kitchen and dining room at Wood Hall on the River Derwent near Cockermouth. The view from the house – a panoramic view of Skiddaw, Grassmoor and the Lorton and Buttermere valleys – was loved by Turner, and used as a subject several times. A fabulous backdrop to the ‘Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers’ themed gathering I catered for.
