Unloading at Howesyke – luxury 18th century Yorkshire farmhouse – in-between the thunderstorms that were rolling around the Yorkshire Dales at the weekend. Blue sky and blazing sunshine one minute, diagonal rain and howling winds rolling over the hills the next! As well as a coat, towels and even floor cloths, I bring all of my own cooking equipment… so you don’t need to worry about what is or isn’t in the drawers and cupboards of the holiday home you’re hiring. It all gets washed up or whipped away home to my dishwasher after the meal, leaving the kitchen as though I was never there.
