Creamy Lancashire cheese and sticky red onion tartlets, warm from the oven.
I don’t often do canapés (guests don’t tend to do justice to the actual meal that follows after filling up on tasty nibbles) but occasionally I’m asked for a special occasion.
These puff pastry tartlets – local cheese sat atop my signature inside-a-beef-wellington red onions and thyme caramelised in sweet ruby port – were one of the pre-dinner sharing platters for a Jewish family’s special Friday evening Shabbat dinner whilst away from London on holiday in the Lake District.
Honoured to have been asked to cater for such a special and meaningful family evening.
