This is a really popular starter and a bit of a treat: scallop, black pudding, smoked streaky bacon, roasted kale and apple. Worth battling through after-school traffic to collect fresh scallops from @tarbetts fishmongers in Skipton, to be cooked at @herriotsskipton’s Herriots House holiday home this evening. This was for a family I’ve cooked for before when they were staying in Giggleswick, who booked again for another family member’s birthday celebration, this time hiring a place in Skipton.
