My 100th review

My 100th review, very kindly left on Google by Victoria this weekend. I cooked at the family’s home as part of her sister’s 21st birthday celebrations: scallops with black pudding, smoked bacon, roasted kale and apple; Yorkshire Dales beef wellington with potato gratin dauphinois, braised fennel, honey glazed roasted carrots and asparagus; vanilla panna cotta with rhubarb compote, ginger and home grown strawberries. All finished off with chocolate truffles, by special request. A real pleasure meeting this family, with lots of chat about cooking, kitchens, cars (I’d just collected my defender), ovens and pans.
