Sunset over Pendle Hill. A beautiful end to an evening journey from Yorkshire into Lancashire via the old packhorse road from Hebden Bridge to Colne. Most of the year I do this route in the pitch black, so it’s a lovely drive in the lighter summer months. This road – most of it single-track – brings you into Colne over an old cobbled bridge and then up a hill to the door of the town hall, showing how important these ancient hilltop packhorse routes were.

This is just one of many insights into my work as a travelling private chef in the North of England. "Where do you cook?" I hear you ask, "I'm looking for a private chef near me".
