Cooking in Skipton town centre… finally! Bizarrely, despite only living ten minutes away, I have never been booked to cook at a holiday home in Skipton itself – until today. Usually when customers book a private chef in Skipton it turns out to be for a property up into the Yorkshire Dales National Park with a Skipton postcode.
So it was a real pleasure to finally be asked to cook in Skipton itself, just down the road from my old boys’ grammar school, across the canal from my daughters’ current girls’ grammar school, and in a building I’ve probably passed a thousand times.
This is the door to Herriots House, a self-catering holiday home in the grounds of @herriotsskipton hotel, opposite the railway station. I cooked there tonight for 12 ladies celebrating their friend Mary’s birthday.
