Many holiday cottages don’t have full sets to cater for all guests – at least not enough for both starters and main courses – so I’ve invested in a 168-piece set (for up to 24 diners) to have as a backup in the car. It also means, if you’re hosting a dinner party in your own home and inviting more family and friends than your cutlery drawer can cope with, you don’t need to worry.
