Ullswater in December – what a peaceful Saturday lunchtime winter scene! I took this photo of Pooley Bridge Pier exactly 17 years ago whilst showing a friend from Brazil around the North of England. It’s one of my all-time favourite landscape photos that I’ve been waiting to share.
On my way to cook for people I’m forever stopping the car and jumping out to take photos of views. It’s one of the many pleasures of being a travelling private chef across three national parks, five national landscapes and all the North has to offer in-between.
