Arriving at a coastal holiday home on our western shores …or 300m above sea level in the Yorkshire Dales National Park? This is one of the Yorkshire farmhouses by the water at Grimwith Reservoir, but it feels like the seaside. I arrived in the morning to cook a wedding day meal here – for a couple who had travelled down from Scotland to get married in Grassington. A lovely view from the kitchen windows later in the afternoon, as the sea mist / hilltop cloud lifted.
This is just one of many insights into my work as a travelling private chef in the North of England. "Where do you cook?" I hear you ask, "I'm looking for a private chef near me".
