This is Charles, who brings fresh fruit and veg deliveries from Riverford Organic Farmers. Delivering to me for years – he was an absolute star during covid – Charles is always keen to know where the ingredients he brings are heading off to next. Only the one box being carried in this photo but mine is his biggest drop – there were eight boxes for ‘The Cook in the North’ that day, ready for a big 80th birthday dinner party in the evening over in Nidderdale.
This is just one of many insights into my work as a travelling private chef in the North of England. "Where do you cook?" I hear you ask, "I'm looking for a private chef near me".
