Like lemon treats in a sweetshop. These are golden beetroot segments after parboiling – just peeled and ready to be roasted (which intensifies the sweet flavours). A lot of veg-shy diners – after asking what the yellow things are on their plate (expecting purple) – try beetroot for the first time and love it.
