Summery accompaniments to go alongside a mini hog roast at a holiday home in Eldwick, near Bingley in West Yorkshire. This was for a family from Gloucestershire who were ‘Up North’ for a 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration. Keen gardeners and veg growers, the meal hit the right spot with a table full of fresh organic salads to go alongside the freshly carved hot pork and apple rolls, crackling and crispy potato wedges. All followed by plum crumbles, baked after the pork finished roasting.
