We have apples on the way! Our long-suffering apple tree – pot-bound, moved house four times, pruned by hungry escapee sheep and repeatedly heatwave-baked – is finally happy in its new spot fed by ‘Cook in the North Compost’. Last year saw one very unhappy apple. This year there are dozens.
