I love to share seasonal ‘firsts’: this courgette flower has appeared overnight in my greenhouse, on a plant that is practically hauling itself out of its box of ‘Cook in the North Compost’. Huge numbers of courgette ends and peelings go into my compost bin… this is what last year’s are now powering!
