Town centre flowers in full bloom today on my way to the butcher’s, baker’s and, not candlestick-, but wooden-stick-maker’s shops (the sticks are for hunter’s chicken stacks, being served near Kendal in the Lake District this evening).

This is just one of many insights into my work as a travelling private chef in the North of England. "Where do you cook?" I hear you ask, "I'm looking for a private chef near me".
