It’s just over 1,000 days since covid restrictions were lifted enough to contemplate travelling to cook in people’s homes and holiday cottages. Since then my diary has gradually filled up as people have caught up with delayed holidays in the National Parks, belated family birthday celebrations, hen party weekends and treating loved ones to gatherings with friends at home. What a pleasure it’s been! This is me cooking in North Yorkshire a few weeks ago for a family getting together to celebrate one birthday ‘on time’ and one belated birthday celebration post-covid.
