Purple carrots with golden centres – the last of today’s purple vegetables, ticking a few more colours off the rainbow. I also had some gorgeous homegrown red, orange and yellow nasturtium flowers that I was eating the other day (whenever I can get them from @organicnorthwholesale and @_growingwithgrace_ I add them to salads and starters when cooking for customers) …those flowers have a gentle peppery taste and make a dish pop with colour.

This is just one of many insights into my work as a travelling private chef in the North of England. "Where do you cook?" I hear you ask, "I'm looking for a private chef near me".
