“Potatoes are just potatoes, right?” I regularly get diners commenting how fabulous my potatoes taste – I got an email about my tasty chips today. The farmers I buy from work hard to grow tasty varieties organically and slowly for the best flavour, and they never disappoint. I think you should be able to eat a roasted or baked potato – hot or cold – and enjoy it on its own as a delicacy (my daughter takes cold roasties to school in her packed lunch). At the moment I’m cooking with @riverford organic Triplo potatoes, grown by Neil & Gary Farley at Cullompton in Devon… super tasty and definitely not “just potatoes”.
